METHODS The specific tiny microspheres, mult iplex PCR technology and Luminex xMAP ( flexible Mult-i Analyte Profiling) w ere used in combination for rapid detect ion of 14 respiratory pathogens( 18 typing) by DNA or RNA . RESULTS T he specificity of the diagnostic system had been validat ed by 15 species of pathogens ( 19 t yping) from AT CC. T here w as not cross-reaction in each other. In 138 sam ples collected from clinical respirat ory tract infections, bacteria were detected in 2 ( 37. 8%) of 9 pathogens from 112 bronchoalveolar lavage, including 13 ( 18. 84%) of Mycobacterium tuberculos is and 44. 93% of viral pathogens, and 17. 39% of Mycop lasmap neumoni- ae and Chlamydia p neumoniae .
