Abstract: Surveys reveal that various damages often occur to many tunnels const ruct ed in landslides w ith
influence on the normal operations. In this paper, the course of mutual impetus and interaction between the
landslide and the tunnel are analyzed based on various damages occurred in the Xiaomansahe tunnel of YuanM o
express w ay in Yunnan province. It discloses the mechanism of interaction betw een the landslide and the tunnel
Lastly, it puts f orw ard some advice for design and const ruct ion of the same kind of tunnels.
