　　　　　　　　　　　　 　　　　　　　　F oreig n L ang uag e W orld No. 1 2008 ( General Serial No. 124) 怎样提高英语听说能力 杨惠中 提要 : 我国大部分大学生在进入大学时已经学了近十年的英语 。他们掌握了英语基本语法和一定量的英语 单词 ,具备了初步的英语阅读能力 ,但是英语听说能力相对较弱 , 尚不能从连贯的英语 口语语流中获取信息 , 更难用英语准确 、流利 、得体地表达 自己的思想 。为了适应改革开放的需要 ,他们提高英语听说能力的心情非 常迫切 。本文讨论了提高英语听说能力需要注意的几个问题 ,包括语言交际功能与语言形式的关系 、领会能 力与产出能力的关系 、学习和运用预构成语块和会话策略的重要性 ,并提出用仿说练习建立说地道英语的信 心 。本文还对视听说教材的编写原则提出了建议 。 关键词 : 英语听说能力 ; 教材开发 ; 教学法 A b stract: Upon entering universities, mo st Chinese students have been learning English for about 10 years. They have learned basic English grammar and common English words. They have p relim inary English reading ability, but their Eng lish sp eaking and listening ab ility is relatively weak. They do not yet have the ability to extract information from fluent English sp eech flow , not to m ention the ab ility to exp ress them selves accurately, fluently and app rop riately in English. To m eet the need s of international commun ication, they have a strong desire to learn to sp eak English. Th is p ap er dis cu sses issues concerning the teach ing and learn ing of English sp eaking and listen ing ab ilities, esp ecially the relation ship between communicative function s and language form s, the relation sh ip between recep tive ab ility and p roductive ab ility, the importance of learning p refabricated chunk s and conversational strategies, and the role of gu ided sp eak ing in help ing students to communicate confidently and fluently in English. Princip les of m aterials developm ent are also discu ssed.
