The evalua- tion on salt-tolerant capacity of the p lants is the foundation for the introduction, breed ing and selection of the salt- tolerant p lant species or cultivars. Themorphological and physiological ind ices to evaluate the salt-tolerant plants in the coastal areas in China were systematically summed up in this paper.
