A bstrac t [ Objec tive] To predictive evaluate the occupational hazards of 1 kt/ a sponge titan ium production project in a titan ium
factory, then put forw ard counterm easure and suggestion for the occupational health problem s. [M ethods] According to the dTechn-i
cal Gu idelines for Pre- evaluation for OccupationalH azards in Construction Projectd, the evaluation contentsw ere investigated and
analyzed termw ise, wh ich included investigation of whole production process, identification of the occupational hazard factors type in
the production process, analysis of the dam age degree, feas ibility evaluation of protective measures, and reasonable and feasible sug-
gestions for mi provem ent w ere given. [ R esu lts] The main occupational hazards factors of th is project were dust, chlorine and hydro-
