Materials and Methods: MRI findings of 14 cases with d splasia of corpus callosum were retrospectivel anal zed and discussed based on the embr ological, morphological and pathological changes. Re- sults: Three t pes of corpus callosal d sgenesis were recognized: total defect ( n= 2, bilateral Probst. s bundles were identified in one case) . partial defect ( n= 10) ; intact corpus callosum with total or partial h poplasia ( n= 2) . The associated congenital anomalies were also observed in 7 of 14 cases, including lipoma, gra matter heterotopia, schizencephal , pol microg ria, and deficient septum pellucidum. Conclusion: MR imaging is an ideal method of choice for diagnosing the d splasia of corpus callosum and other associated congenital cerebral anomalies.
