Vol No Journal of Xian T echnological U niversity M ar DOI x atu edu cn j j P I D BP PID PID BP PID U A Study on FuzzyPID Control of Semiactive Vehicle Suspensions Based on Magnetorheological Damper G UO Quanmin L E I Be ibei School of Electronic and Information Engineering Xian T echnological U niversity Xian China Abstract T o solve the problem s that the damping coefficient of the traditional passive suspension sy stem is not adjustable and that the automotive ride comf ort and handling stability are hard to improve a method is presented that the mag netorheological damper replaces the passive dampers and a closed loop f eedback sy stem is f ormed w ith the inverse model of magnetorheological damper built on BP neural netw ork and the f uzzy PID controller to realize semi active control of vehicle suspension Simutlation ex periment and data analy sis show that the RM S of the car body vertical acceleration suspension dy namic def lection and w heel dy namic load of the semiactive suspension sy stem s w ith f uzzy PID control based on the magnetorheological damper is smaller than that of the passive suspensions T he result s suggest that the propo sed method can eff ectively enhance the ride comf ort and operation stability and improve the vibration perf ormance of suspension sy stem s Key words mag netorheological damper semiactive suspension sy stem BP neural netw ork f uzzyPID
