It is necessary to know exactly the special strategic signifi cance of land development and regulation in ThreeGorge Reservoir area. The land development and exploitation should be principally and properly regulat ed for the improvement of great productivity of the land based the control of cultivated land. The peculiarity of the patterns of land development and regula tion in ThreeGorge Reservoir area was expressed.
