Choice of Words and Phrases  1.1 Polysemy 汉语词语普遍具有一词多义的特征，翻译时要根据语境准确理解来表达词义。 ①1) 他就着油灯读信。 He read the letter by the oil lamp. 2) 我这星期不忙，就你的时间吧。 Make it any time at your convenience. I’m not busy this week. 3) 花生仁儿就酒挺合适。 It’s nice to have peanuts to go with the wine. 4) 我一打听到他的住址，就马上告诉你。 I’ll tell you his address as soon as I get to know it. 5) 她本来身体就不好，高烧几天后更虚弱了。 She is always feeble, and now she is much weaker after a few days of high fever. 6) 两国代表团就共同关心的问题进行了会谈。 The delegations of the two countries held talks on issues of common interest. ②1) 这两口箱子轻重不一样。 The two cases do not weigh the same. 2) 工作应分轻重缓急，不要眉毛胡子一把抓。 Work should be done in order of importance and urgency.
