It w s studied th t the ferrob sed powder met llurgy p rts were sintered in microw ve stove in Ar or N g s tmo 2 sphere t 1 150~ 1 220 with so king time r nging from 5~ 20 min. The sintering beh vior of the microw ve technique w s comp redwith th t of the convention l technique. The results indic te th t the green ferrob sed p rts h s wonderful micro w ve bsorb bility t room temper ture. The process of microw ve he ting is st ble nd controll ble. The microw ve sintering h s much f ster he ting r te but shorter sintering time th n the convention l. The sintered products re fully dense bodies with obvious edge nd ngle but no deform tion nd cr ck. The rel tive density is 96. 6% ~ 97. 8%, nd the Rockwell h rdness (HRC) is 40~ 45, meeting the requirements for the mech nic l properties of the p rts.
