The incidence rate of rectal carcinom a is increasin these years. M ultidisciplinary comprehen sive treatm ent for rectal carci noma h as b een preva ilin in the research field. M ultidisciplin ary m odalities include neo adjunctive therapy ( chem otherapy and radioth erapy) , radical resection of recta l carcinom a, intraoperative chem otherapy, post operative ch emotherapy and radioth erapy, andm olecular tar eted th erapy. A ll of the above m odalities lead to , the modified treatm ent for rectal, prolon in the survival and mi provin the quality of life.
