The optimal condition for headspace equilibrium was as follows: equilibrium time was 20 min, equilibrium temperature was 80 , 7 g sodium chloridewas added as salting agent and gas- liquid proportion was 12 and epichlorohydrin in samplehadthehighest response valueon gas chromatography. The linearity was good at 0001- 100g/ mL for epichlorohydrin, the linear equation was y = 3739x + 4779 and the linear correlation coefficient was 0999 4. The average recovery ranged between 931%- 1029% and the detecting limit was 0001g/ mL. The method proved sensitive, accurate, reproducible and suitable for determination of epichlorohydrin in water.
