Applications of Ligands in Ullmann Chemistry

Abstract :Ullmann2type coup ling react ion , as one of the most important tools of modern organ ic synthesis , is
used rout inely for the preparation of a wide variety of molecular targets ranging from simple to complex
compounds. In the past few decades, more and more attentions have been paid to the improvement of the
classical Ullmann chemistry. Particularly, the introdu ct ion of new ligands h as been a significant discovery and
notab le achievements have been made. This review h ighlights the recent developments and applications of some
new ligands in the copper2mediated coupling reactions, and proposes the prospect of Ullmann chemistry.
