In addition, the communica- tion between universities and communities is becoming closer. As a result, the shortage of parking supplies occur frequently on campus. This paper has presented a case study carried out on the campus of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The inflow and outflow of vehicles, location of parking lots and corresponding capac- ity , aswell as the drivers parking behavior, are surveyed and analyzed. The average parking duration of each ve- hicle and the turnovers of some parking areas are also computed from the survey data. Suggestionsfor improving the campus parking systems are given. It is expected that this study can be of help in solving similar problems existing in other universities. Key words: campu
