Studies on Current Situation and Development Strategies of Leisure Service Area for Winter Sports in Shenyang City Abstract Winter sport is one of the sports done generally in the north of our country in winter, which has many functions such as body building, leisure and entertainment etc. and regional characters. Along with the development of our tourism, programs for the winter tourism, with its various forms and substantial contents, are more and more adored by the public. As a new increasing spot for civil body building exercises, it is significant for the development of sports tourism in Shenyang City. In recent years, among the studies results of winter sports, most concentrate on some certain problems, which are just one perspective, such as the facility construction, the running condition of the ski resorts and of winter sports activities and so on, while some of the scholars have applied economic theories in the studies of winter sports, whereas, as for the development and utilization of winter resources, few of them has conducted a study, or explored the winter sports leisure service area from a perspective of regional sports development strategies. Current studies results of winter resource development have done well on the appliance and pertinence, but lack an integral, systematic, overall study on the winter sports.
