This paper developed a transformer protection device completely because of IEC61850 protocol system, that uses the method of obj ect modeling represent the internally visible behavior of transformers, so that , the transformer has an abstracted model essencialy.The protocol has so many characteristics as that modeling oriented the device, self description, abstraction of the communication service interface and communication protocol specific independent, that it uses digital semaphore to transfer simulate transport unit,which could cancel a large number of cable, and uses IEC 61850-9-1 (point to point), IEC 61850-9-2 (point to multipoint) correspondence specification and the digital signal processing, therefore the connection between devices is greatly reduced and
