ABSTRAT Inrecentyears,withtherapiddevelopmentofChinashighervocationaleducation,the reformofteachingtheory,curriculum,andcontenthasseriouslylaggedbehind.Research onhighervocationalcurriculumstandardswouldbebeneficialinmakingthesatingof curriculummorerational,andinstandardizingcurriculumdevelopmentandconstruction. Suchresearchcanprovideguidanceincurriculumreform,hasrealsignificancein perfectinghighervocationaleducationtheory,andcanprovideadviceforgovernment policy-making. Thispapersrtivestostrictlyclarifytheconceptofcurriculumstandardsinhigher vocationaleducation.Theprinciplemethodsusedare:areviewoftheliterature,an investigationandanalysisofexperience,caseanalyses,comparativeanalyses.Thepaper alsoclarifiestheconnotations,characteristics,andfunctionsofhighervocational educationcurriculumstandards. Highervocationaleducationcurriculumstandardsareinlinewiththetrainingplansfor eachmajorfieldofstudy.Thestandardsprovideaconcretedescriptionoftheresults cspectedafterstudentscompletetheircurriculum.Thesestandardsaretheguiding documentforteachingandlearning,andincludetwoparts:curriculumcontentstandards andcourseexaminationstandards. Ifghervocationaleducationcurriculumstandardsareaformofhighereducation.They prescribethequalityandknowledgerequirementsforthecurriculum.Theyalsohavethe functionofvocationaleducationinthattheyarelocalized,focusedontechnicalskills,and aremarketdriven.Thestandardsarealsotheprincipalprogrammingdocumentfor curriculumorganizationandimplementation.Additionally,Theyaretheprimarybasisfor coursematerialcompilationandcourseevaluation. 1swell,theyarealinkforthe mergingwithindustrystandards.
