First of all, I am most grateful to my supervisor, Professor Gu Peiya, who has given me a lot of encouragement and help in my thesis writing process. It is her enlightenment and constructive suggestions that have brought me to the field of teacher development. She guided me all the way through my MA studies with enough patience and tolerance. She responded to my immature questions with her academic commitment and inspiration for my explorations. Under her constant guidance, the process of completing my MA thesis turned out to be a challenging yet rewarding learning experience.
