Abstract
The key technology of designing diesel particulate filters is choosing filters and
regeneration. In our country the research in this field is on initial stage, it is due to lacking
effective design method and theory experiment is the main developing means whose
disadvantage is large investment with small profit, so now there is no commercial product yet.
In consideration of this condition this paper is aimed to establish loading fluid model and
regeneration model of particulate trap, consequently provide theory guidance for design.
In this paper ceramic wall-flow monolithsSiCwas believed a best filters material after
making comparison between several filter materials. Moreover its filter mechanism was
analyzed and a one-dimensional fluid model of loading process was established. The flow
distribution was analyzed that proved a reference for choosing filters.
