Abstract
A fieldstudy wasundertakento investigatethechangesoftheCHITCntspeed，waveparametersandsediment
resuspensionunderdifferentwindspeedsintheTaihuLake．TheAcousticDopplerCurrentProfilerrADcP)and
MIDAS DW R Ⅵ，ave Recorderwere used to collectthe data of currents and waves．respectively．The
characteristicsofsedimentresuspensionwereinvestigatedbya 1ayeredsamplingtechnology．Themeasurement
resultsshowedthatthecurrentspeedincreasedindirectproportionwiththewindspeed．Verticaldistributionsof
thecurrentspeedrepresentedsignificantinflectionpointsat0．4oftherelativewaterdepth．Boththeupperand
lowerlayersfollowedlogarithmicdistributions．Themeanwindspeedandwaveparameters(waveheightand
waveenergydensity)showedexponentialdistributions．meanwhilesimilardistributionwasfoundbetweenthe
meanwindspeedandcurrentspeed．Withrisingsurfaccwind．acorrespondingincreaseintheconcentrationand
particlesiz
