Abstract：Hydrocarbonsourcerockobviouslycontrolstheofrmationanddistributionofhydrocarbon
reservoirs．Basedonthegeologicalconceptof “sourcecontroltheory”，theconceptofahydrocarbon
distributionthresholdwasputofrward．Thismeansthemaximum rangeforhydrocarboncontrolled
by thesourcerock conditionsto migrate in thehydrocarbon basins．Threequantitativeanalysis
modelsareproposed on thisbasis．namely thehydrocarbon accumulation probability，maximum
hydrocarbon scalethreshold and reservedistribution probability，which respectively referto the
probabilityofforminga hydrocarbon reservoir，thepossiblemaximum scaleofthehydrocarbon
reservoir and the percentage ofreserve distribution in a certain area within the hydrocarbon
distribution threshold．Statistical analysis on 539 hydrocarbon reservoirs discovered in 28
hydrocarbon sourcekitchensfrom seven sedimentarybasinsand sagsofeastern Chinashowsthe
maximum reservoir scalepossibly ofrmed in thehydrocarbon basin，hydrocarbon accumulation
probabilityandoilandgasreservedistributionprobabilityareallcontrolledbythecharacteristicsof
thehvdr0carb0n sourcerock．Generally．asthedistancesfrom thehydrocarbon sourceroekcenter
and hydrocarbon dischargeboundary getlongerand thehydrocarbon discharge intensiyt of
hydr0carbon sourcerock centergetssmaller，therewillbe lower probabiliyt ofhvdr0carb0n
accumulation．Correspondingquantitativemodelsareestablishedbasedonsinglefactorstatisticsan
