Abstract
SubtidalsedimentsofIsladelCOCO(CocosIsland)，CostaRicaweredescribedintheirgrainsize，sorting，organic
matter，andcarbonatesfrom 27dredgesamples(3—75m)，collectedinApril2010．Theorganicmatterrange
between 1r37_3．31％ andcarbonatespresentedamean of74士17％．Thesortingwasmoderately orpoorly．The
grainsizerangedbetween0．1-1．1mm．Thepatternisthatsedimentchangefrom innertomouthofbays．Carbonates
andgravelrfactionsincreasedoffshoreandorganicmatterhavehighvaluesinnerthebays．Inputofvegetaldebris
nadmudwasrfom therjversofthisislna dcoveredwithrainandcloudforest．
