The Modern Clinical Literature Research of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Treating Apoplexy Specialty: Acupuncture, moxibustion and massage Author: Niu Yuguang Tutor: Prof. Tan Qiwen Abstract Objective: This paper intends to summarize the special selection of meridians and collaterals, acupoints and high frequency prescriptions to treat apoplexy and the therapeutic characteristics of each stage, through doing a research on treating apoplexy by the whole bag of acupuncture and moxibustion tricks in the modern literatures, Method: The study research on using the modern therapeutic methods to treat apoplexy by the way of traditional philology. On the basis of reading carefully the checked literatures, make a classification , summarize and make a transversal contrast, conclude the significant regulations and elaborate the typical therapies. Result: The modern acupuncture therapies have great curative effects on the treatments of the syndromes of the acute stage, restoration stage and sequel stage of apoplexy, various kinds of concomitant symptoms such as hemiplegia, dysphonia, dysphagia and so on, and secondary prevention. Furthermore, the therapeutic thoughts, therapies, the selection of meridians and acupoints indicate their obvious features and distinct regulations. Conclusion: To treat apoplexy, the modern therapies of acupuncture and moxibustion have various patterns, high efficiency and regularity.
