Clinical Evaluation of Treatment with Bipolar Hemi Arthroplasty Using Noncement and Cement Prosthesis for Elderly Femoral Neck Fractures Speciality：Orthopaedics of TCM Author ：Li Peng Tutor：Prof ．Li Jinsong Abstract Background ：Bipolar hemi arthroplasty replacement has become the mainly treatment of elderly femoral neck fractures ．But the option of which type of prosthesis to choose for this kind of fracture between noncement and cement，there is less report currently，however ，there is some controversy ．This article is retrospective evaluation for such treatment ． Objective：Noncement and cement bipolar hemi arthroplasty were compared with the effection of treatment for elderly patients with femoral neck fracture ． Methods ：We performed a one-year fllow-up evaluation involving 100 elderly patients with femoral neck fracture who were randomized to treat with either a noncement hemi arthroplasty or a cement hemi arthroplasty ．The 100 cases were all older than the 80-year-old，collected from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2010 to March 2011 ．We actually followed up 87 cases ，including 38 males and 49 females，average age 84 years ．87 cases were in selection of noncement prosthesis 44 cases ，cement prosthesis 43 cases ．Noncement type was in group A ，cement was in group B ．Two groups were compared with operative time，blood loss ，postoperative drainage ，weight-bearing time ，hospitalization time ，intraoperative cardiovascular accident，postoperative complications ，after 1 month，6 months and 12 months of the hip prosthesis score ，and imaging respectively ． Results ：The two groups in blood loss，postoperative drainage ，weight-bearing time ， hospitalization time ，postoperative complications ，were no significa
