Clinical observation of the treatment of KOA with the meridian segment actinobacillus Speciality: Internal Medicine of T.C.M Rheumatic Disease Author: Zhao Zhenhua Tutor: Professor Zhang Liting Abstract Purpose: This papers analysis preliminary the new way to treat osteoarthritis of the knee from two aspects which are the basic theory and clinical study, and the new way is injecting sodium hyaluronate in the meridian segment. Methods: According to the random number table, 44 patients were divided into two groups randomly, respectively,the experimental group (meridian segment Actinobacillus group) which had 25 cases and the control group (drink traditional Chinese medicine which is the knee Bi Decoction group) which had 27 cases. A course of treatment was five weeks, to observed the symptoms and signs before and after the treatment. Results: The treatment group and control group were no significant differences (P 0.05) in VAS score after treatment, but the treatment group mean was lower than the control group; After the treatment, the Lequesne index score and the pain of movement, swelling scores were significant differences (P 0.05), and this certificates that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the Lequesne index score. Conclusion: After a course of treatment, patients were improved significantly in pain, swelling, morning stiffness, walking ability, and the treatment group were significantly better than the control group in particular, joint swelling and pain.
