Summery of the Diet Theory in Canon of Medicine Specialty: Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine Author: Liu Haowen Tutor: Wang Xiaoping Abstract By integer concept as guiding ideology, based on the background of Chinese traditional culture, by the theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements, discussed based on the theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements and the theory of viscera and qi-blood, study the diet theory in Canon of Medicine on Nature and Man. From investigation of the diet theory in Canon of Medicine elucidate establish basic, application principles, clinical function of the diet theory in Canon of Medicine, investigate theoretical significance and practical significance of the diet theory in Canon of Medicine. By introducing culture-philosophy, philology, this dissertation mainly adopts theoretical discussing as research methods. Integer concept being served as the leading part, the dissertation approaches and studies the diet theory in Canon of Medicine: First，it analyses the cultural background and the theoretical basis, points out that the diet theory in Canon of Medicine is based on the theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements and the theory of viscera and qi-blood, also absorbed some essence of traditional culture. Second, it analyses the application principles and methods of the diet theory in Canon of Medicine. Finally, it surveys clinical application of the diet theory in Canon of Medicine, elucidate the practical significance. The diet theory in Canon of Medicine construct one healthy pattern of diets, embodies the principle of diet in health preserving and treatment.
