Abstract: A trial esign research on a concrete fille steel tubular ( CFST ) bow string arch bri gew ith
incline hangers is con ucte , w hich takes the Secon Y ellow R iver Bri ge in Zhengzhou as a proto-
type. Base on finite element metho , the influences of various arrangements of hangers to internal
forces asw ell as eformations of the structure are stu ie . The results show the angles of the hangers
play great roll in the structural internal forces, an it is mi portant to choose a reasonable angel of hang-
ers in esign. If incline hangers replace vertical hangers, the ben ing mom ents of the arch an the
tie gir er w ill greatly ecrease, the maxmi al isplacement of the eck w ill be lessene . M oreover,
the resu lts also in icate that the ra ial hanger is a best choice among the three incline hanger arrange-
ments in the view of structure. s
