Coporate social responsibility(CSR) Contents 1、 What is CSR? 2 、Potential business benefits 3 、Criticisms and concerns 1.1 Definition Corporate social responsibility (CSR), also known as corporate responsibility, corporate citizenship, responsible business, sustainable responsible business (SRB), or corporate social performance, is a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model. 企业社会责任(CRS)又称企业责任,企业公民,负责任的企业,负责人的可持续发展的企业,或企业社会绩效,是企业自我约束自我规范所形成的一种商业模式。 1.1 Definition Ideally, CSR policy would function as a built-in, self-regulating mechanism whereby business would monitor and ensure its support to law, ethical standards, and international norms. 理想情况下,企业社会责任策略将作为一个企业内部的、自我调节的机制,即监测并确保企业的业务是法律道德标准和国际标准的反映。 1.2 Davis Model Corporate social responsibility comes from its social power. 企业的社会责任来源于它的社会权力。 Enterprises should be a two-way open system, that is open to accept the information of society, and help public understanding its operation. 企业应该是一个双向开放的系统,即开放的接受社会的信息,也要让社会公开的了解它的经营。 1.2 Davis Model Each activity, product and service of enterprises, must consider the social costs and benefits at the same time of considering cost-effectiveness. 企业的每项活动、产品和服务,都必须在考虑经济效益的同时,考虑社会成本和效益。 All the social costs linked to each activity, product and service should transfer to consumers ultimately. 与每一活动、产品和服务相联系的社会成本应该最终转移到消费者身上。 Enterprises as legal persons, should be the same as other individuals involved in resolving some of social problems beyond their normal range. 企业作为法人,应该和其他自然人一样参与解决一些超出自己正常范围之外的社会问题。 The practice of CSR is much debated.
