Automation and Traffic college, Shenyang Li Gong University, Shenyang, Liaoning ,110168,.China) Abstract: Housing is the part of gearbox which has the most complex structures and exciting forces，whose dynamic-characteristics influences gearbox’s performance directly. Modal analysis of housing is very helpful for its system identifying and performance improvement. Although the modal parameters from conventional modal analysis can imagine natural vibration characteristics, the absolute conventional modal test wasn’t achieved from the angle of experiment and the restriction character had great effect on system characters. In order that the simulation embodied the housing dynamic-characteristics, FEM (Finite Element Method) models of conventional modal and two kinds of restriction modals were built. Then the modal test was done and the result which was obtained from the comparing between simulation results proved that the restrictions have effect on modal analysis of housing.
