Stephen Greenblatt ?(born November 7, 1943) is an American literary critic, theorist, scholar, and?Pulitzer Prize winning author. He firstly came up with the name “new historicism” in Genre in 1982. And he is regarded by many as one of the founders of?New Historicism. Greenblatt has since taught at?Uniersity of Califonia,Berkeley and Harvard Uniersity.
