Abstract This article carried on the experiment for guar which based on Xinjiang provinces unique 3 2 climate and cultivation methods, and there are four different water treatment(CK-0 m /hm , 3 2 3 2 3 2 W1-270 m /hm , W2-360 m /hm and W3-450 m /hm ) respectively on four different development stages(seedling period, full flowering period, full pod period and filling period). Meanwhile, we also carried out the experiment that the effect of different water treatment, 3 2 3 2 3 2 which is Z1-1080m /hm ,Z2-1440m /hm and Z3-1800m /hm respectively. And then analyze the guar growth and development and its yield in different treatment. That is for investigating the water consumption of guar, making clear guar scientific irrigation in arid areas and further providing a theoretical basis irrigation optimization. The main conclusions are as follows: 3 2 1. Water treatment on seeding period: Treatment W2 (360m /hm ) is the most suitable for irrigation through analyzed every different indexes. The order of the effect on yield is 3 2 3 2 3 2 3 2 360m /hm 270m /hm 450 m /hm 0m /hm . Meantime, treatment W2 can enhance height and stem diameter of guar significantly.
