Within the Linux space, SUSE Linux Enterprise will introduce the first version of OpenO 2.0 to support and run VB macros saved in Excel spreadsheets. Now enhanced with this functionality SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop offers a complete Office suite of productivity applications, which is MS office compatible. Traditionally, Linux desktops fit best in organizations with a centralized IT department distributing applications to some or all of their users. Todays deployed Linux desktop solutions have been mostly in fixed functional and transactional workstation segments. In 2006, improved usability and knowledge worker features will extend Linux desktop for more generalized opportunities.
