LITTLE DRAGON ENGLISH INFORMATION SHEET 小龙英语教学的常规模式及备课技巧 CLASS PREPARATION – Home and Classroom Home Consider last class and any apparent learning difficulties Read teaching guide for scheduled lesson - if no teaching guide then a lesson plan must be compiled using the Little Dragon teaching format that follows: 1. MAKING FRIENDS 2. TPR 3. REVIEW 4. NEW CONTENT 5. GAME/ACTIVITY Prepare materials for scheduled lesson - What do you need for class? Prepare any ‘additional’ teachings according to any difficulties encountered by students in the last class. Physically practice all songs, stories, TPR and games to be used in class. PRACTICE TIP – Use a mirror to practice in front of so you can see what the children see when you are teaching. Classroom Arrange classroom furniture if required to suit lesson plan. The standard Little Dragon classroom requires the chairs in a U shape. Each chair side by side creating a large space in the middle for the children to use for active work. Teach from the open end of the U shape mostly but don’t forget to use the space in the middle to approach all of the students throughout the lesson.
