What’s the most difficult part in your English study? And how to improve it? (open) 2) Listen to a short passage and try to fill the missing words in the blanks. (ask one student to write his/her answers on the blackboard, others do it at seat.) Then check the answers together. Ask one student to answer the question: what can you get by improving your study skills? Key: get better grades, get a better job, expand your mind, have more free time. Dialogue Samples (10 min) Ask two students to read the dialogue aloud, correct the pronunciation and intonation. Teacher points out the useful expressions in two dialogue samples. Communicative Task (10+15 min) Students are given 10 minutes to work out with his/her partner to make a dialogue on the task of book. Teacher goes around giving help if someone need. Ask some groups to the front and show their dialogues, teacher gives feedback about pronunciation, intonation, language usage and so on. Read and Explore 1.
