Q32Q252盟金瀣 生国企业擅田置翌之现拭厦趾盟 Abstract Credit management is among the key areas of modern company management.The credit management level of Chinese company has achieved significant improvement these years because of the CO—efforts made by the government,the institution and the company.However,shortage is still obvious for Chinese companies when comparing with international standard.This thesis provides author’S own opinion on credit management improvement within Chinese companies after applying relevant administrative theories and gaining knowledge from experience of both success and fai lure. After going through the history of credit management development, the author has analyzed current situation and influence of credit management for Chinese companies, summarized existing issues in respective aspects of building credit management Dept, information collection,credit appraisal and credit management implementation,and provided individual opinions and recommendations for the future. First,regarding setting up independent credit management team,the author analyzed reasons of the current issues and pointed out 3 key elements,that is having support from senior management, buiIding collaboration among the Depts.and correcting wrong thoughts of Sales Dept; Also the author provided 3 supplementary opinions,which is positioning credit management function correctly,enhancing credit 1imit control by addressing internal policy and designing flexible solutions for small companies. Second,regarding information collection,the author provided 3 notes:(1)update customer database timely:(2)address key working areas by differentiating customers:(3)value external information from the 3rd source. 2 Thirdly,regarding credit appraisal and authorization,the author initiated a new way of customer evaluation—customer—scoring method, after introducing and analyzing historical and current method of customer evaluation.This method has such characteristics as accuracy, low pricing,convenience for
