Module 5 My school day Unit 1 I love history
Background information:
Students: There are 40 primary school students from the first-year students of junior high school in Yulin. Almost students are 11 - 13 years old, and they come from countryside. At this age, they are lack of independence, but most they are lovely, active, lovely and carious about everything .They have leaned some easy words and sentences of English.
Lesson duration: 35’
Teaching objectives: By the end of this class, pupils will be able to:
1. master the new words and expression: English, science, art, Chinese, PE, math, history, IT, geography, half past, at… o’clock, “What time is it ?—It’s…….”
2. present the listening result confidently and fluently to the other students.
use the target language to describe their ideal school day.

Teaching methods: Task-base Teaching
Teaching aids: pictures about subject books, word cards and multi-media real object clock a box
Type of lesson: Listening and Speaking
Teaching Procedures:
Stage1. Lead in: ( 3’) Greeting .
Step 1: Review the numbers in English “one to twelve” by showing a clock and asking the Ss to say the numbers one by one. (Or by using the picture of clock)
Step 2: Play a game with “Guessing Game”.
(T: Show a box with some books including pen, English book, Chinese book, pictures about sports and food, history book and so on to the Ss, and let the Ss take a guess one by one.) (Purpose:To motivate the atmosphere. To review and strengthen the knowledge of what they have learned. Let the pupils expose themselves to English directly to experience the target language. )
Stage 2: Presentation and drills (15’)
Step1: Guess the words about subject by giving using information.
“English, science, art , Chinese, PE, math, history, IT, geography, at… o’clock” and sentences by showing the new word cards and pictures and context.
