The study on informational retrieval behavior of the teachers for example the vocational colleges Abstract With the coming of knowledge economy,the using of information will increase frequency．Study of the different user groups in informational retrieval behavior will find its characteristics and difference，recognize its rules，which will further update and improve informational retrieval model for better meeting requirements of specific readers． In this study,we deeply analysis and study the status of informational retrieval behavior ofthe vocational college teachers from two aspects of informational retrieval obstacles and activities based on its relmive theory,and analysis their reasons to seek the methods in resolving problems and explore informational retrieval law in the process of teaching and research of the vocational college teachers in order to improve the utility of resources．By analysis of the examples about the vocational college teacher’S requirements of information in selection of the informational resources around their topics，we can draw the following main problems in the informational retrieval behavior of the current vocational college teachers：111e teacher’S searching capabilities should be further strengthened due to their weak awareness of information；the service should be significantly improved due to the poor resources of library collections；the effectiveness of information should be expanded due to the incomplete social support system．Finally,this study proposes to strengthen the informational retrieval education，English education for teachers and proposes suggestions to improve social support system． Keywords：Teachers of higher vocational colleges； Information awareness； Information needs： Information use；Information retrieval 致谢 匆匆己三载。三年来我的每一丁点儿进步，都和许多人无微不至的关心和帮 助是分不开的。 在此，对给予我关心帮助过的领导、同事、老师和我的同学及家人表达我衷 心的感谢。 首先深深感谢我的导师茆诗珍副教授，她渊博的学识、对事业孜孜不倦的追 求和严谨求实的研究作风，将永远是我的楷模。 感谢我的同学们，他们在我读研期间给予我众多的关心和帮助。 感谢学院的领导、老师和各位同事对我工作的支持和学业的关心。 最后，感谢我的丈夫苏诚先生和女儿苏
