第34章 条件句Lecture 34：Conditional Sentence I. Purposes: 1. To help the students understand and use Conditional Sentence correctly. 2. To encourage them to do as much more exercises as possible. II. Learning Points: 第一种类型条件句(Type I) ①表示普遍整理和客观事实： If you heat ice, it melts. If the temperature drops to 0 degrees Centigrade, water freezes. ②表示现在、过去习惯动作： 1. If I make a promise, I (often/usually)keep it. 2. If I was hungry, I usually had a full meal. II. Learning Points: 第二种类型条件句(Type II) ①基本形式（Basic Form）: If you come earlier, please do it as quickly as you can / possible. If it is a fine day tomorrow, we shall / will go swimming. II. Learning Points: ②变体形式（Variant Form）: 其特征是，从 句动词不管主语的人称和数如何，一律用 should + infinitive, 主句动词可根据语义意图 采用不同形式。例如： II. Learning Points: If it should rain again, the flowers will bloom. If he should come tomorrow, I would tell him everything. If I should be detained, start the program without me. （此处的 should 仅表示一种不太肯定的婉转口气，并不影响条件的真实性 ) II. Learning Points: b.
