Research of Life―long learning―A critical evaluation of options for part―time study in China 　　Introduction 　　Education is evolved from the human social production activity and service for our life and social development. With human beings entering into the 21st century， with the developing technology， science and management， and with the oncoming knowledge economy， knowledge has become the best power for humanity， only knowledge is a perpetual fortune for us. Therefore， someone argues that 21st century is a life-long learning century， a learning community. 　　Life-long education， a very new popular concept in the world has deeply influenced the existence and development of our society. In China， it has greatly changed the traditional notion of education， that is， for hundreds of years， people wrongly linked education with school and divided our life into two phases： learning period and working period. But， now， more and more people realize that education should run through and become the indispensable activity in their lives. Education before employment was in order to make preparation for one’s employment. The education after employment can make employees’ quality meet the needs of a job developing and changing constantly. 　　In this paper， I will make a research of life-long learning-a critical evaluation of options for part-time study in China. This educational enquiry can provide valuable information about what are requirements of people and which type of education is more popular. It contributes to change and improving the education activity of our country.
