As an import ant part of nonverbal communication, the t ransmission of t ime messag e a lso has pr ofo und cultur al connotation. Differ ent cult ur es have shaped different concepts of t ime. The differences be?? tw een Chinese and western culture in philosophy, histor ical backg round and social sy st em and so on hav e caused their differ?? ences in concept of time and att itude tow ard t ime, and as a result, have created different mo des of time or ientat ion. The way to deal wit h t ime and use time, to a g reat ex tent, influences the effect of cro ss??cultur al communicatio n betw een t hem.
