Today we are going to learn about computers. Before we start, we should take a close look at the pictures of all kinds of calculators and learn their names. II: Discussing 1 Have you seen anybody use any kind of computers in these pictures? When? What do you think of these kinds of computers? III: Pre-reading Step 1 Ask the students to guess what is about to be talked about in this passage after seeing these pictures of computers. Step 2 Let the students to take a wild guess about in what order will this passage be developed? Step 3 Tell the students that they should try to put these pictures in the right order and check after reading. Homework: Memorize the new words and phrases in reading and try to use them. Step1:Lead-in Students answer the questions about the computers in order to arouse students’ interests Step2: Discussing 1 By discussion, students’s interests in computers will be aroused. Also their vocabulary will be broadened. Step3:Warming-up By learning about some basic knowledge about the Olympic Games in order to make a preparation for reading.
