Teaching Plan Teacher: Wang XiaoCheng 王晓城 Time: five periods (45 minutes per period) Grade: Senior grade 2 Teaching type: Speaking and Listening Subject: New senior English for China student’s book 5 Unit 3 life in the future Period 5 speaking and writing Analysis of material This lesson contains two contents: speaking and listening. In the period, students are required to listen two pieces of listening materials. In MatⅠ, teacher highlight to improve Ss’ listening skills respectively through the various forms of execrises (including seleting questioning and answering). In MatⅡ,Ss are trained to improve their comprehensive ability through listening to a relatively harder piece. That is to say, students employ the skills of analysizing,summarizing as well as gussing. In the part of speaking, students are stimulated to associate with their old kownledge and inspirated with new ideas when they talk and disscus in a suitable situation, during which, Ss not only improve spoken English with given phrases and expression,but also can learn some techniques for their presentation more vivid (e .g. contrast) Teaching objectives: Knowledge: To acknowledge the basic content of “the future life”; To realize the change of the future world; To understand the Listening Materials Skills: To improve the listening skill of selecting and searching; To improve the listening skill of analysizing; To improve the listening skill of summarizing To improve the spoken English 3.
