Have higher rates of preventable and/or untreated illness Are less likely to receive care that they feel they need Have more preventable hospitalizations Have shorter hospital stays for the same conditions Are hospitalized sicker and have poorer health outcomes (including death)… The Uninsured… Are not known to be a sicker or higher-cost population.
