Unit 1 Welcome back to school Teaching aims： 1. be able to understand and speak: This is my friend,.../I Nice to meet you. /where are you from? Im from.... / We have a new friend. And be able to use them in the real situation freely. 2. be able to listen, read and recognize the following words: boy, girl, teacher, student, and be able to do the self-introduction. 3. be able to speak the following names of countries. Eg:America, Canada, China. 4. be able to read the five letters A-E. and be able to recognize the words with the fisrt letter a-e. eg. apple, ant, boy, bag, Coke, coffee, duck, dog, egg, elephant. 5. be able to understand the action order and do with what they hear. Part A The 1st Period I. Contents 1. Lets talk. Review the following sentences “Good morning. / Hi.” And grasp the following sentence patterns: Im from … … Welcome! 2. Lets practise Let students practice what they’ve learn before. II.Preparation 1．教师准备主要人物的头饰以及一些学生们所熟悉的公众人物的头饰，三个国家（China, Canada, America）的国旗（或其他标志物）。 2．课前先教会两个学生说America, Canada以便新课展示时作示范。 三、Teaching procedure 1． Warm-up/ Revision (1) 教师播放第一册“Hello”的歌曲，让学生跟着录音演唱。 (2) 由歌曲自然引出师生间的问候： T: Good morning, A, welcome back to school. Nice to see you again. A: Nice to see you, too. 2．Presentation （1） 接着上面师生问候的环节，教师走到学生跟前说： T: Hi! Nice to meet you. Your name, please?（提示学生回答） P: Im ... T: (握手并亲切说)Welcome back to school!（提示学生回答） P: Thank you. （2）（事先安排一位学生戴好人物Amy的头饰）教师走到她跟前，说: T: Oh, we have a new friend.(重复强调说几次) Your name, please? P: Im Amy. T:（教师领着全班说）Hi, Amy! Welcome! 教师领读We have a new friend./Welcome. 学生模仿。前面已学过“I have”句型，注意学生“We have”的发音，提醒学生不要将[`welk m]误读成[`welk n] （3）教师戴上Bai Ling的头饰表演她的对话： Hi, Im Bai Ling. Im from China. （手中可举起中国国旗） 请扮演Amy, Mike 的两位同学上台做类似的自我介绍。 （4）用手中的国旗做提示，教读China, America, Canada以及句型Im from.... （5）听录音，放投影, 或通过录像，VCD来展示Lets talk内容。 3． 趣味操练( Practise) （1） 用开火车的形式请学生起立并做简单自我介绍。教师注意在每位学生说完后礼貌地向他或她问好（如Nice to meet you.等）。 （2） 表演Lets talk部分内容。在此基础
