200 Run2 papers Authorship Committee Perspective Do’s and Don’ts Do: be entertaining Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of funny stories that the authorship committee runs into. Do’s and Don’ts Don’t: tell horror stories Not even the one about the person who had been on the experiment for five years, but had never been proposed for authorship, UNTIL he HAD to be added in two days before a paper was submitted. (Got him added too! For that paper and later as a full author.) Nor the one about the student who was about to get his PhD, had done only a few shifts and couldn’t understand why he wasn’t yet an author.
