But at present, the domestic freshwater liner shipping system still has many problems, for example, couples of shipping company set shipping lines respectively, transportation ability overlapping, ports demand not being satisfied and so on. In this paper，quantizing methods are proposed to discuss and solv the problem of how to set the lower reaches of Yangtzi Freshwater Liner Shipping routes. In this paper，the status of domestic and foreign freshwater liner shipping condition is been illustrated first. A the same time, compared to the foreign freshwater, some problems in domestic fershwater liner shipping system has been summed. With the introduction of the lower reaches of Yangtzi Freshwater Liner Shipping, the shipping channel status of the lower reaches of Yangtzi is showed. Then the container transporting demand of each port along the lower reaches of Yangtzi’s mainline and each port’s throughput is analyzed. In order to get the data of container transporting demand of the lower reaches of Yangtzi, the optimized combination of Forecasting Models are used to forecast the port’s throughput.Through analyzed main container ports,eight ports are chose in order to set container shipping roouter.
