Ethyl alcohol was added to the 100-mL mark and the flask was shaken vigorously for 2 minutes 2.2 Test Samples Two test samples known as PharmCare HS6500MR Bio-Shield Anti-Mosquito Repellent and Sanitizer and PharmCare HS6500MW Bio-Shield Anti-Mosquito Wet Wipes were received from Cosmepro Industries Sdn Bhd The samples were tested undiluted. Test Cages Screen cage (60 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm) with two 15 cm diameter circular opening fitted with cloth sleeves was used (Fig. 1). Each cage was equally divided into 2 compartments using a plastic sheet placed inside the middle of the cage. Test Mosquitoes (检测的蚊虫品种) Laboratory-bred, sucrose-fed and 5-7 days old adults of Aedes aegypti (L.) (登革热伊蚊) were used in the tests. Twenty-five adults (starved overnight) were introduced into each compartment through the circular opening. TEST PROCEDURES Test subjects A total of 3 adult volunteers were recruited for the tests. Volunteers were briefed in advance of the tests and informed consents were obtained. The volunteers were designated 1, 2 and 3, respectively.
