九年级英语Unit 16 Lesson61－Lesson 64人教朗文版 【同步教育信息】 一. 本周教学内容： Unit 16 Lesson61－Lesson 64 ［学习过程］ 一. 词汇： 1. beat v. 打败、敲打－－defeat, do better than, strike, e.g. No. 52 Middle School beat us 5－3. 52中以5比3胜了我们。 beat在这里作及物动词，后面接某人。 The little boy beat his grandfather at chess. 那个小男孩下棋赢了他爷爷。 Jim’s school beat Henery’s at baseball. 杰姆学校的棒球队胜了亨利学校的棒球队。 The rain was beating against the windows. 雨打在窗户上。 The hot sun was beating down on our head. 炎热的阳光直射在我们的头顶上。 beat的同义词为win，但win后面要跟match, race, price等词。 e.g. Class Seven at last won the football match. 7班最后赢得了足球比赛。 Jim won the race. 杰姆在比赛中取胜。 beat, win的反义词是lose, lose（sth.）to （sb.） e.g. Our team has never lost a match. 我们队从来没输过。 We lost to a woman volleyball team. 我们输给一支女子排球队。 另外，beat还可以表示“打，跳”的意思，多作及物动词或间作不及物动词。 e.g. The policeman beat the thief black and blue. 警察把那小偷打得鼻青脸肿。 The patient’s heart beat high. 病人心跳很急。 2. train v. 训练、培养－－give teaching and practice to someone in order to bring to a desired standard of behaviour, efficiency, or physical condition. e.g. They are training for the boat－race. 他们正在锻炼自己，准备划船比赛。 training n. →training for a competition. While in training, one exercises a lot and may eat certain foods to help them compete better. 3. captain n. （足球队的）队长－－leader or chief commander, the captain of the team = the leader of the team. e.g. Do you know who is the captain of No. 5’s Middle School football team? 你知道谁是5中足球队的队长吗？ Mr Wang is the captain of the boy’s team. 王先生是男队的队长/教练。 4. stricker n. （足球）前锋－－a stricker is a player in football whose main job is to kick a goal. e.g. Their best striker, Lu Ming, scored in the thirtieth minute. 他们最好的前锋，陆明，在第三十分钟得了分。 Dan is regarded as the best striker in the school team. 丹被视作校队最好的前锋。 5. expect v. 期望，预期，期待－－regard as likely, think or believe that sth. will happen or come, that sb. will co
