It’s Obvious that body language plays an important role in daily communication. What’s more, body language is also one of the most effective means in English teaching. Teachers can attract students attentions and convey the information throughout the process of language teaching by changes of postures, facial expression We often talk of TPR (total physical response) in English teaching. These teaching methods largely depend on the appropriate use of body language. A well-known American educators, Dewey also advocated a teaching mode——learning by doing. The linguist Franklin once said, Tell me, I will forget; teach me, I will remember; involve me and I will learn. Therefore, the body language plays a very important role in the teaching process. It is efficient for teachers and students to exchange their feelings.
