This is the most deadly explosionincident in which firemen suffered the heaviest casualties sincethe founding of the Peoples Republic of China, according to DuLanping, deputy director of the Fire Department of Ministry ofPublic Security. Fire occurred on the blasts site again at 11:30 amSaturday. Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday urgedauthorities to learn from the extremely profound lessons paid forwith blood. Xi said that the Tianjin blasts exposed severe problemsin the work safety sector, and authorities must always keep safegrowth and peoples interest first in mind to avoid suchaccidents.
